How To Use Colloidal Silver For Your Pets

May 3, 2018; by Briana McDonald (UtopiaSilver.com) Our fur family can mean to us just as much as our very own flesh and blood which is why our care for them should be equivalent. They rely on us for all of their needs; food and shelter and in desperate times medical care. Compiled below are some tips on how to use colloidal silver for your pets and some personal miracles I’ve witnessed with silver healing our own dogs.

How To Use Colloidal Silver for Your Pets

Colloidal silver is a liquid antibiotic, anti-viral and anti-fungal that has been touted as treating and preventing an assortment of conditions in both humans and animals. Colloidal silver, as opposed to just plain silver, means that submicroscopic silver particles are suspended in a liquid base. Because the silver particles are so tiny, they are thought to penetrate cells and kill pathogens.

  1. Keep Your Fur Family Fungi-Free

Colloidal Silver is the best cleaning/disinfecting agent there is. You can spray your pet cages and sleeping areas with silver, you can add some to their bath water, and also add a few ml into their drinking water every day. This will not only prevent disease it will make a world of difference in their life and keep their immune systems boosted so that whatever they may possibly come up against, they have the upper paw.

  1. Avoid and Treat Infections

Thankfully, unlike other antibiotics, you can give your pet colloidal silver daily to help prevent infections and simply increase the dosage if there is a current infection you are treating. Since colloidal silver is an all-around pathogen fighter, it’s a great one to keep in your medicine cabinet for any disease – whether it’s bacterial, fungal (yeast!) or viral in nature (it can even be used to help treat parvovirus). Plus, it can be used as a preventative when exposure to sick people or animals is unavoidable, and as a regular household cleaner to disinfect surfaces and areas. All animals are different so you have to play with the dosage to make sure you are giving the right amount for your pet. If you notice an upset stomach after giving a dosage simply lessen it until it’s no longer creating the upset. Large dogs can handle more of course due to the difference in weight. Be a scientist with this, observe and pay attention how your pet reacts to it.

  1. Eliminate Pet Odors

Pet odors are probably the only downside to having our furry friends around all the time. The best way to eliminate pet odors in the home is to simply clean any area that has been affected by your pet as you normally would then spray colloidal silver all over it. This will eliminate the bacteria present which is causing the odor.

  1. Resolve Skin Issues

Just like with humans, Colloidal Silver can virtually heal any skin problem your pet may come up against. From rashes to ringworm you an simply spray Colloidal Silver directly on the infected area several times a day for several days. It will help to relieve itches and rashes and helps rough skin become smooth again. A topical form of Colloidal Silver is best like Utopia Silver’s Advanced Ionic Silver which you can spray directly from the bottle. Also using a silver gel or cream will help wonders with your pets skin issues. These treatment options are safe, inexpensive and reduce the need for vet visits or other medications that could have harmful side effects. (1)

  1. Dissolve Cysts and Tumors

I have personally witnessed Colloidal Silver and Ionic Silver dissolve cysts and tumors over a period of weeks with deliberate and consistent treatment. We had an old Labrador named Bailey. He had been in our family since I was a child and although we could accept his old age, we could not accept his suffering. Bailey developed tumors around his rectum which made it especially challenging to use the restroom. Every time he would try he would yelp out in pain and it was completely heartbreaking. The veterinarian gave him only a few weeks to live saying that he would probably stop eating just to avoid having to use the restroom and he would slowly die. We started spraying ionic silver on the growths several times a day and also administered silver directly in his mouth with a syringe (needle removed) several times a day. We even put it in his drinking water just to be safe.

Within weeks he was using the restroom without discomfort and within months the growths were completely dissolved. He did pass away several years later from old age but not from the tumors. In fact, they never came back.

       6. Treating Canine Parvovirus

The canine parvovirus (CPV) infection is a highly contagious viral illness that affects dogs. The virus manifests itself in two different forms. The more common form is the intestinal form, which is characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, and lack of appetite (anorexia). The less common form is the cardiac form, which attacks the heart muscles of very young puppies, often leading to death. The majority of cases are seen in puppies that are between six weeks and six months old. Due to the fact that silver is not only an antibiotic but also an antiviral, it can also help treat dogs infected with the parvovirus. (2)

Give your pet an oral treatment of silver, several times a day, for up to a week. You will have to judge how much silver to give your pet based on their weight and size. Large dogs can handle up to 10 mL colloidal silver, two or three times a day. Small dogs should be given around 5 mL silver, two or three times a day. You can either give the treatment orally, via a syringe (with the needle removed), or mix it into their drinking water or wet food bowl. (3)
