Colloidal Silver Science-Based Evidence of Efficacy and Safety is Ignored

June 34, 2018; by Paul Fassa- Natural Health Journalist (UtopiaSilver.com) Silver bullets for cancer or silver lining for current cancer treatments? There has been research demonstrating the use of silver nano-particles for treating cancer safely, and the results have been very promising. In the mainstream media and “medicine” Colloidal Silver science-based evidence of efficacy and safety is ignored.

But you’re probably not aware of them because the cancer industry is more profit-driven than healing motivated. There have been a few studies during the last decade demonstrating efficacy and safety with silver nanoparticle therapy for cancer.

My report on this topic is not meant to be medical advice. It is purely educational and supportive of the value for colloidal silver.

The Research Items Summarized and Referenced

I have come across three peer-reviewed published studies indicating the potential for colloidal silver as a therapeutic agent for cancer. Another was case study on breast cancer patients in Central America, another was performed on mice, both considered “in vivo”, while the others were lab culture or “in vitro” studies.

Obviously, the human clinical case study is the most impressive. It was performed in Central America using 30 women with breast cancer with ages ranging from 32 to 52. They were all diagnosed with three separate classifications of breast cancer types by both mammogram and biopsy. Instead of conventional treatments, they were administered IV solutions of oligodynamic silver hydrosol.

Don’t be confused by the terminology. The term oligodynamic is the medical reference for the biocidal effect of metals in low concentrations. Silver hydrosol is basically colloidal silver with suspended silver nanoparticles in pure water. The positively charged nanoparticles are created by electrically energizing pure silver in pure water.

All the women were found to have normal mammary (breast) tissue within and up to 30 days post-treatment, depending on the cellular classification of each woman’s cancer, after a biopsy. That’s quite dramatic, but where was the publicity? There was none.

Colloidal silver has constantly demonstrated that it is non-toxic, despite publicized popular opinions that claim otherwise. Otherwise, the doctors involved would not have used this intervention to create a case study.

Only four women had temporary minor side effects attributed to the cancer cell die-off effects, not the silver itself. Cancer cell die-off creates a Herxheimer effect, commonly called a “healing crisis”, which is proof that whatever is being done or used is working as expected. This clinical case study was reported in 2006. [1]

Breast cancer cells were used in an in-vitro study later in 2010. The common purpose of in vitro studies using lab cultures only and not animals or humans (in vivo) is often to determine first that an agent would nullify cancer cells.

Then laboratory technical analysis can isolate the biochemical mechanics of how the tested agent achieved cancer cell deaths, whether by cytotoxicity (toxic to cells) or apoptosis (induced self-destruction).

What’s the difference? Healthy cells have life cycles that undergo apoptosis. Cancer cells do not. So inducing apoptosis is a good thing and leads to potential tumor shrinkage or eradication. This process ignores healthy cells, thus no adverse side effects.

Cytotoxic agents simply kill the cells. That’s what chemotherapy does. Only it kills all cells encountered, healthy and cancerous. That’s what causes the misery and poor health, sometimes even death, among cancer chemo patients. But colloidal silver particles do not harm healthy cells while destroying cancer cells.

More Science to Back Up the Clinical Results

The in vitro study titled “Antitumor activity of colloidal silver on MCF-7 human breast cancer cells” published in the Journal of Experimental and Clinical Cancer Research November 2010 proved that colloidal silver is indeed cytoxic exclusively to breast cancer cells. The mechanics are in the full study in source [2].

Also in 2010, an in-vivo mouse study was performed with mice broken into four groups to determine the results from different treatments and no treatment on mouse tumor models or tumor-induced mice. The mice in the test group were injected daily with colloidal silver for 15 days. They lived on twice as much compared to control groups and did not exhibit any signs of toxicity from their injected silver.

That study’s title is “Antitumor activity of silver nanoparticles in Dalton’s lymphoma ascites tumor model” and was published in the International Journal of Nanomedicine in October of 2010. [3]

The most recent study actually made it into a mainstream media newspaper, the British tabloid Daily Mail reported on the study titled “Enhanced cytotoxicity of silver complexes bearing bidentate N-heterocyclic carbene ligands”, which was published in the journal Dalton Transactions in 2012. [4]

From the Daily Mail:

Study author Dr. Charlotte Willans plans to spend the next year looking closely at what effect silver has on both cancerous and healthy cells, and whether it could be a safe and effective new anti-cancer drug.

She said: ‘It’s certainly an exciting discovery, although I think we have a lot of work to do in the future. It opens the doors in terms of what we can do and investigate.

‘Getting these results also gives us the opportunity we need to apply for funding to take the research further. ‘This could lead to a cheaper, less toxic alternative to current treatments for cancer.’ [5]

Mainstream Oncology Ignores This Type of Research

So here we have medical research and a clinical case study demonstrating efficacy and safety using colloidal silver for cancer.

But there are still massive fundraising campaigns to raise money for cancer research, including thousands running and walking in pink to raise funds to find a cure for breast cancer while ignoring available though relatively esoteric data supporting natural cancer cures.

So-called “alternative” medical researchers don’t get that money. Only pharmaceutical industries who create mono-molecular synthetic drugs wind up with a fraction of what’s raised. And they don’t need any of those funds from fundraisers.

Nothing from the fund-raisers trickles into research outside the conventional cancer industry. It’s all about money and monopolized control for the pharmaceutical industry, conventional oncology, and even the fundraisers.

Most research studies end with “more studies needed” even after solid conclusions. This is often a plea for funding to go from lab culture (in vitro) research to animal research and finally human research, all of which may not even impress the FDA enough to give the go-ahead to market if whoever is seeking approval doesn’t come up with $2 million or so for the license to market.

The amount of money it takes to go through these phases for final approval as a medicinal drug makes it easy for pharmaceutical companies with massive liquid assets to easily outdo independent research efforts by less financially endowed small groups or individuals. So the approval system is part of the medical monopoly.

Case studies, such as the one reported in this article, don’t require funding. But one would think their results would get strong interest from everyone involved with the multi-billion dollar cancer industry.

All of those reports were based on activities dating back to 2006 to 2012. Today the only follow up is from a handful of us who feel the need to let others know within the minority populace of alternative media.

The cancer industry keeps the ‘search for the cure’ meme going even as natural cures exist, including others than what was reported here, because there’s too much money to lose by supporting and publicizing this information.

It’s likely that any advances for colloidal silver’s use in mainstream oncology will be restricted to being used strictly as an adjunct to help direct chemotherapy substances into cancer cells better (at best) while the FDA may still consider colloidal silver useless or worse by itself.

Just thought I’d let you know in case your wondering how come you’ve never heard about this or any other actually existing natural remedies proven safe and effective for cancer.

Paul Fassa as a natural health journalist started researching natural healing to overcome his unhealthy lifestyle. He is amazed at the ignorance about natural medicine and how beneficial foods and herbs are constantly ignored or vilified in order to promote toxic foods and meds by Big Pharma, the FDA, USDA, and the AMA, what he likes to call the “Medical Mafia”. Paul Fassa sees the struggle for health freedom and the need for improving and preserving our food supply as key issues in today’s crazy world. He has contributed hundreds of article to Natural News, Align Life, Natural Society, and the Silver Bulletin e-News Magazine.
